Anchorage Police publishes a Power BI dashboard for calls in the APD service area and a separate Community Crime Map. The dashboard’s first classification comes from what the caller described, so it is a view of calls for service rather than a finding that a particular offense occurred.

WHY THE MAP IS PAUSED

Missing geography is not zero.

The current Power BI and Community Crime Map products do not expose a stable documented anonymous bulk offense extract that can be independently deduplicated and joined to current APD service-area geometry. Older beat reports remain historical context and are not revived as a current neighborhood map.

Showing citywide values across neighborhood polygons would imply a distribution the source does not publish. This page therefore stays honest: it preserves the available measures and leaves the neighborhood layer visibly unavailable.
