MEMPHIS / SOURCE-GATED VIEW

Citywide facts.
No false precision.

Memphis Police and the City’s open-data program publish a Safer Communities Dashboard covering crime, arrests, and traffic accidents. The official product spans a rolling three-year window, updates daily, and lets residents select the time, location, and information type they want to inspect.

WHY THE MAP IS PAUSED

Missing geography is not zero.

Memphis documents nine police precincts, but the current dashboard is an embedded viewing product rather than a stable anonymous row-level export this ledger can verify, classify, and join to authoritative precinct polygons. Dashboard tiles are not copied as if they were an API.

Showing citywide values across neighborhood polygons would imply a distribution the source does not publish. This page therefore stays honest: it preserves the available measures and leaves the neighborhood layer visibly unavailable.

What this source can support.

This page preserves the official source boundary: it links to the city’s current public product without copying unverified screen totals or substituting a different reporting system.
