Read the local pattern.

JSO’s transparency service separates offenses, traffic crashes, recovered firearms, DUI arrests, traffic fatalities, and murders. This explorer uses only rows whose published data type is offense.

READ BEFORE USING

What these numbers mean.

This dashboard reads an official public police dataset and checks it hourly. Records can change as reports are reviewed, corrected, added, or removed.

Records, geography & refresh

Record model. Each row in the map table is a published offense. Group B offenses remain in the all-offense total, while person, property, and society are shown as separate NIBRS lenses.

Map geography. The map uses JSO’s six numbered patrol districts. Separate Atlantic Beach, Jacksonville Beach, and Neptune Beach boundary polygons are not represented as JSO patrol districts.

Refresh. JSO describes the transparency portal as current public data. This site checks its official feature service hourly and shows the latest report date returned.

Interpretation. A police record is not a conviction, and a raw count is not a population-adjusted crime rate. Use the map to examine patterns inside one consistent source.
